Lemon

The Meyer lemons in our garden has become yellow finally and it is time to try!
庭のマイヤーレモンがやっと黄色くなってくれました。食べて見なくちゃ!

Look how green and small they were in June when we planted the tree.
6月に木を植えた時はこんなに緑で小さかったの。

Now they are very yellow but are they edible ? They have been on the tree for 5 months...
5ヶ月後の今はこんなに黄色くなってます。でも食べられるのかなあ。5ヶ月も木になってたのよ。

Of course! They are great. We even ate some pieces as it is and they are not too sour! I made cucumber salad with lemon juice from it and also put some zest on Linguine with clam white wine sauce. The tree is still small and has only four lemons right now but when we get a lot of lemons, I am going to make Meyer lemon jam!
もちろん!すごくおいしかったのです。ちょっと身を食べてみたのだけど酸味もそんなにきつくなておいしい。早速、このレモンジュースを使ってきゅうりサラダを作り、レモンの皮をそいで、はまぐりのパスタ白ワインソースの上にのせました。木はまだ小さくて4個しかなってないけど、そのうちたくさん採れるようになったらマイヤーレモンジャムを作るのです!

Oh, the plate of cucumber salad is the one I bought in Thailand last month. Looks good, doesn't it? そうそう、きゅうりサラダのお皿は先月タイで買ったもの。いい感じでしょ。
