Friday Dinner & game

We got invited to a dinner by our neighbors tonight. We had Chicken stew with biscuits, grilled beans and eggplant bruschetta I brought. The stew was great! The combination of the silky smooth & rich stew and crispy biscuits top. Great comfort food for a winter night. My appetizer was pretty good, too. The pomegranate margarita was tasty too and I got red very quickly between this and red wine.
ご近所さんから夕食に誘われました。ビスケットが付きのチキンシチューとさやインゲンのロースト、そして私が作っていったナスと白い豆のブルシェッタをいただきました。シチューがすごくおいしかった。ビスケットの外側のカリカリとシチューのなめらかさのコンビがとてもいい。寒い冬の日にはぴったりの夕食でした。私の前菜もカリッとトーストしたイタリアンブレッドにナス＋白インゲン豆＋トマトのペーストを乗せたもので好評でした。お醬油が隠し味。ザクロジュースで作ったマルガリータもおいしく、それと赤ワインですっかり赤い顔になってしまいました。

We played Mexican train game after dinner till close to midnight and guess what? I won!!
夕食後から真夜中近くまでしたメキシカントレインというドミノのようなゲーム。何と勝ったのはわたくしです。

Cheryl made out of this world dessert again! A lemon meringue pie. The lemon custard part was not so sweet and had great tartness. She rocks!シェリルが又もやとんでもおいしいデザートを作ってくれていました。レモンメレンゲパイ。メレンゲの下にあるレモンカスタードが甘すぎず絶妙な酸っぱさでおいしかった。彼女はすごい！

We had a full moon tonight and it brightened up the midnight sky.
今夜は満月でした。真夜中の空を明るく照らしてきれいだった。
