Paris 3-New year's Eve and New year's day

Since we couldn't have muscles yesterday, we had to have some today. We knew we were going to have a big dinner for New year's Eve after this so had juuust a little bit of muscles...No, we had a two pots of muscles...hee, hee, hee. It was soooo good...juicy and tasty! 昨日はムール貝にありつけなかったので今日こそはとLeonというブリュッセルのムール貝専門店へ（場所はモンパルナスよ）後で大晦日のごちそうを食べるとわかっていたので軽くほんの鍋2杯のムール貝を二人でいただきました。(へへへ…。）なめらかでおいしかった！

They have a big dinner for New Year's Eve in France so I investigated some restaurants for our dinner. I thought "La Coupole" was nice because it is one of the famous and historical place to have dinner. I went there a few days before to find the menu and make a reservation. They showed me the menu (140 euro=US$210/person) and said I don't have to make a reservation and just come between 7pm to 1am. It is expensive but this maybe the first and the last time to spend a New Year in Paris so I thought it was OK. BUT, when we went there at 8:30pm, they said " For two? we completed" and didn't tell us waiting time!!! FINE!! We went into another famous restaurant "La Rotonde" and they seated us in the nice window table right away!　フランスでは大晦日のディナーにご馳走をいただくようなので、いろいろとレストランを調べていました。"La Coupole"という古いレストランがよさそうだったので、メニューみせてもらって予約しようと思って行ったら一人2万円ちょっとの値段で、予約は必要なく7PMから１AMの間にくればいいとのこと。ちょっと高いけどパリで年越しすることもそうないのでまあいいかと思い、大晦日の8時半くらいにいったら、「二人ですか？もう売り切れました」とわけのわからない返事で、待ち時間をいうでもなく断られる。何よいつでもいいっていったくせに！と近くの他のレストラン"La Rotonde" （ここも歴史の長いところです。）にいったら、すぐに窓際の素敵な席に通してくれました。

Look at the dishes we had. They were all great. Especially the seafood tray had a lot of kinds of shellfishes. Mmmmmm, it was good. Picasso, Modigliani and Max Jacob used to come here so they may have sit at the table we had dinner at and watched the people passing by....nice to spend a new year's eve. Happy New Year!! どのお料理もおいしかったけど最初のシーフードトレイには何種類もの貝類が盛り付けられ大満足。昔はピカソ、モジリアーニ、マックスジェイコブ達がここに来てたらしいからもしかしたら私達が座ったこのテーブルで道行く人をながめたりしてたかもね。大晦日のディナーには素敵なレストランでした。あけましておめでとう！
