Seoul, Korea 1
I had never gone to Korea even it is only 50 munites plane ride from my hometown.
Our hotel is closed to Toksugung palace where soldiers parade is held.
We took a picture with one of the soldiers (He is not really soldier and more like a performer.)
We also found a snack on the way. They shape like walnuts and have chestnut paste inside. Very good.

A lot of beautiful views in this garden. Mmmmm I love Japanese gardens.
We really enjoyed sakura in Japan. We hadn't seen it for 4 years so now we are happy camper!

Tokyo&Odawara, Japan 1

Kanazawa/Kyoto, Japan 2
So what should we do today? We really wanted to see some Sakura in Kyoto. So we decided to go back to Kyoto by train. With our rail pass, it didn't cost anything but takes 2.5 hours to Kyoto but it got warmer in two days so Sakura must be blooming!
We walked around to enjoy Sakura in the park, had lunch, walked along Kamo river...OK, time to go back to Kanazawa.

Kanazawa, Japan 1
OK, we have a lot of places to go today. Let's get started! We went to Tentokuin, the temple where Maeda Toshitsune built for his wife, Princess Tama. They also have a puppet show about the love story between Toshiie and Princess Tama. When we arrived there, we are the only ones because it was early in the morning so the cheif of the temple gave us a private tour! I told him Steven likes Maeda Toshiie(Toshitsune's father) and that is why we came to Kanazawa. Then he looked at Steven's face and said "Oh, you may have been Toshiie in your previous life!" He was a funny guy.
Next stop was Kenrokuen which is the one of the three great parks.
The third one is Kanazawa castle. This is Toshiie Meda's castle so Steven had been looking forward to coming here.
Had sushi for lunch at Omi Fish Market. So many kinds of seafood were there. Too bad we don't have kitchen here. We just looked at them and sighed.
Kyoto, Japan 3
We kept walking to Nanzenji.
Great view after climbed up the steep stairs.
...this is the water line running on the aqueduct. We walked along it but didn't go anywhere....
OK. Time to go to Kanazawa!!!

Kyoto, Japan 2
We visited my brother's family in Kyoto today. Our nephews are getting bigger and cuter! We visited some temples with them and had a great time. Wish they lived closer to us so that we could meet them more often. We also stopped at a cafe and I had tea and sweet wich custard cram, chocolate cookie wrapped with mochi sheet called "Jewel box". Oh it was good.
